'Relax & Renew' Face Massage

This wonderfully relaxing half-hour treatment provides amazing benefits for the whole body.  As your face is massaged a relaxing ripple effect can be felt throughout your entire body.  As your facial muscles relax, emotional stress will drain away and you will be left feeling a sense of total relaxation and calm.

Receiving a face massage can have unexpected results for many clients, Kate sometimes ends a body massage with a few minutes of face massage and receives feedback from clients saying how lovely it was and how surprised they were at the relaxing effect.

The face massage incorporates stimulation of marma points which, according to Ayuerveda, strengthen the mind and body by aiding the smooth flow of vital energy throughout the entire body.

A full half-hour face massage offers even more benefits - those of relaxation plus the effect of enhancing your complexion and giving you a healthy and natural glow:

When the muscles of the face are stimulated through massage, blood flow to the area is encouraged. This brings with it collagen and oxygen, both of which reduce the appearance of wrinkles and help tighten facial muscles – it’s a natural form of anti-ageing!  The natural moisture content of the skin is re-balanced, reducing impurities, draining away toxins and increasing radiance.

Kate uses - organic fractionated Coconut oil or organic Argan oil both of which have amazing and beneficial effects on all skin types.  During a brief consultation, the most suitable oil will be chosen for the individual client.

Please note that this is not a facial – Kate will have face wipes available to remove makeup prior to treatment but to save a little time (if possible) it is best to arrive without make-up.

“I enjoyed a 1-hour foot and face massage, while the foot massage was lovely and relaxing, I was amazed at the effect of the face massage – all the tension I had been feeling in my stomach for the last few months simply melted away”

A face massage can enhance the relaxing effect of a longer treatment such as back massage, Indian Head massage or Reiki. Take a look at the combinations page for suggestions of how to incorporate this powerfully soothing massage into your ideal treatment.

Organic Fractionated Coconut Oil

Rich in saturated fatty acids, fractionated coconut oil has higher levels of capric acid, which has antiviral and antimicrobial properties; and caprylic acid, which has anti-fungal properties.  This oil is especially beneficial for all skin types and can be used as a daily moisturiser, skin cleanser and shaving balm (for men and women) among other uses.  It is a light and truly beneficial oil that helps to enhance the skin's radiance and smooth out wrinkles, leaving skin feeling fresh and looking younger.

Organic Argan Oil

Rich in Vitamin E and Fatty Acids, Argan oil is an exceptional moisturiser and skin conditioner; it both tones and exfoliates your skin.

Argan oil has superb anti-ageing properties - thanks to the Vitamin E content, Argan Oil may help fight against free radicals and help people suffering from dry and damaged skin conditions, wrinkles, acne and scars.

Applying a few drops to the skin may soften it, restore its original brightness, and protect it from environmental factors like smog, wind or sun.
